Kjaer Weis recently launched a line of lipsticks (in addition to the existing Lip Tints, which are in a pan rather than the bullet), and I've swatched all 5 of the launch shades for you below. Two more shades have been released since the launch - KW Red and Brilliant - which I haven't included below, as they aren't yet available in Australia.

As with all Kjaer Weis products, the Lipsticks are packaged in the most exquisite, refillable & recyclable compact/tube, embossed with the Kjaer Weis logo. Three of the five shades are Certified Organic. The other two shades (which I noted below) are not Certified Organic, due to containing less than 1% synthetic pigment. Other than that, all of the ingredients are exactly the same.

I've only tried samples of each of these shades so far and don't yet have the full-size product, so I won't be reviewing them in this post. I am happy to say, however, that the formula is exactly what you would expect from Kjaer Weis, or any luxury brand. All of the lipstick shades are incredibly comfortable on the lips, sit beautifully (no feathering, bleeding or settling into fine lines), are relatively long-wearing, fade evenly and have a semi-matte or velvet finish. They are all also quite moisturising (I don't need a lip balm over the top), but I wouldn't say they are super creamy - they are silky, almost buttery. I'm the queen of dry lips (I never leave the house without some kind of lip product), and I haven't felt the need to reapply or reach for the lip balm once.

I applied all of these with a brush, and the only thing I'm wearing underneath is a plain lip balm, which I'd removed the excess of before applying the colour.
(I removed each shade with a make-up wipe in between, so there was no stain left to affect the next colour. Just my natural lips!)

"A bright, richly saturated pink. The perfect pop of colour."
I usually shy away from such bright colours, and Empower has an almost neon-brightness to it once applied to the lips. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this shade worked for me, and it feels super summery and fun!

Empower contains less than 1% synthetic pigment.

"A sweet, pale nude lip colour with just the right hint of rosy-pink."
This is an ultra pretty, warm, nude baby pink. I usually find shades labelled "nude" just look pretty meh on me, but I'm actually loving how this works.

I went pretty simple with my make-up for these swatches so it would work well with all of the colours, but if I was purposefully creating a look to pair with Honor, I'd probably play up the colour on the cheeks or eyes a bit more.

Honor is a Certified Organic shade.

"A fresh, red coral that brightens any complexion."
This was another really surprising shade for me.
It is a super-bright, fun red coral, that is quite flattering and summery!

Love contains less than 1% synthetic pigment.

"A taupe-y plum that’s polished, understated and sophisticated."
This is a shade I can see would be very flattering on most skin tones. It's a muted plum tone, that would pair equally as well with an almost bare face, or evening look and smokey eye. It is a brilliant everyday, any occasion shade.

Believe is a Certified Organic shade.

"A deep, warm, Old-Hollywood-glam red."
That perfectly describes this shade. It has a semi-matte finish, and I LOVE the deeper tones to it. I'm actually already thinking of replacing my current red with this. It is an absolutely gorgeous colour, and again, perfect for any occasion.

Adore is a Certified Organic shade.

Kjaer Weis Lipstick Swatches L-R: Honor, Believe, Empower, Love, Adore

Love, love LOVE these lipsticks. These five shades are also a great range to start with, as there is a shade that is going to suit everyone. I really loved all of these shades once on the lips, but out of the colours I know I'd wear, Adore is a winner. I'm also seriously thinking about Honor - I don't really 'do' nude colours, but I really quite like the baby-pink tone!

What are you favourite shades out of the colours above? And if you have any questions leave them in the comments below or over on instagram.
