ILIA Beauty would have to be my favourite brand when it comes to lipsticks. Not only are the formulas up to 85% organic and many are made with 100% natural dyes (check each lipstick on the ILIA Beauty website), they are also beautifully creamy, moisturising and have great staying power. The colours are also all very flattering, have a beautiful range of pinks (my favourite, of course!), and the shades all pack the pigment.

I've swatched my own (current!) personal collection of shades below, although there are a few I've had before, but don't currently own.

I purchase all ILIA Beauty from Beautylish (USA), as they have the most current range, free shipping to Australia over $50USD, and even with the exchange rate, it works out better than purchasing from Mecca in Australia.

White Rabbit is a gorgeous clear gloss, with fine shimmer particles. I love layering this over any colour or using it to 'top up' my lipstick throughout the day and keep my lips moisturised. I've tried a couple of the shades, and all are non-sticky and beautifully smooth on the lips. With White Rabbit, you can feel some of the shimmer particles when you press your lips together, but it isn't uncomfortable.

And never fear, the shimmer is quite fine, so you don't look like you're wearing glitter, or make the lips too shimmery or metallic. It just adds a flattering light-reflective quality to the lips.

This colour is another I love to toss in my bag to apply over my lipstick throughout the day. It's no-fuss and I can reapply without a mirror. The shade Blossom Lady is super creamy and hydrating, yet still provides a pretty wash of colour. Unlike the bolder shades, it doesn't stain my lips.

Blossom Lady is a muted rose, my-lips-but-better shade.
I love this for fairly light make-up days, as it keeps everything light and natural.

This colour is my everyday, every occasion shade. A warm, muted almost burnt rose shade with a semi-matte finish. It's the absolute perfect rose shade, and I love pairing this with Blossom Lady (above) for a lighter tone.

As with all ILIA Lipsticks, it is ultra-creamy and not at all drying on the lips. I press this onto the lips for a lighter stain, or apply as per usual when I want the full pigment.

Whilst it looks almost plum-rose in the stick and swatched, At Last is a muted, dusty rose, with plum undertones. It gives a gorgeous sophisticated flush of colour on the cheeks, and is so, so hydrating and creamy on the lips. This has more of a balmy texture, even creamier than the Tinted Lip Conditioners.

Even though the stick is quite large, I have no problem applying this to my lips right from the stick, as it is so creamy it spreads easily. I also do the same for my cheeks, then simply pat out the colour with my fingertips.

This was a limited edition shade (I'm not sure if it's staying for good) created in a collaboration between ILIA & Design Sponge. This colour is my perfect berry shade, and next to In My Room it's become my go-to.

Pink Moon is a true berry - not at all purple or magenta, and not too bright, but not at all dark and vampy.

Don't be fooled by the name Tinted Lip Conditioner. This shade packs the pigment as good as any lipstick. I can press this into my lips for a gorgeous long-lasting stain, or if I want a full, bold lip and all the moisturising properties, I swipe it on as per usual. I can even get away with pressing this onto my lips very lightly for a darker my-lips-but-better look, and keep it hydrated with a gloss or one of the lighter shades.

This was the shade that first drew me to the ILIA brand. I was on the hunt for that perfect red, and at the time, there were very few brands to choose from. ILIA had a small range of six lipstick shades, and this was one of them.

Wild Child is a warm, fiery red, with an orange undertone.
Depending on your skin tone and your own undertones, this shade can pull almost a true, bright red, or very orange-red, 40's style.

On my skin tone, Wild Child is the former, a stunning bright red. This shade is highly pigmented and long-lasting, and provides a great stain.

Again, don't let the name fool you! Crimson & Clover is a long-lasting, highly pigmented stain, that is creamy and moisturising to boot.

Whilst in the bullet it looks very close to Wild Child, Crimson & Clover is a much more pink-based red. I can use this throughout the day to top-up Wild Child, or if I want a bold, red lip, with a softer edge, Crimson & Clover is what I reach for.

It also creates a beautiful, soft stain on the lips, and can look quite natural, depending on how heavily I apply it.
