Maya Chia Beauty Skincare Review & International Giveaway

Maya Chia Beauty is a brand that has been on my radar for a while now. Available from Integrity Botanicals, Maya Chia is 100% natural, with many Certified Organic and Wildcrafted ingredients, each product contains their signature Supercritical Chia Seed Oil -  rich with skin-loving omega fatty acids, antioxidants & minerals.

Maya Chia uses a patented process to extract their chia oil called supercritical extraction. The gentle oxygen-free, solvent-free process results in an oil with a total absence of chemical residues and impurities, and one that most closely mirrors the chemical profile of the plant. This process results in the best, purest, most stable, effective, and potent chia oil on the market.

Each product in the line contains the highest quality ingredients, each highly targeted to work together synergistically to impart specific benefits for healthy, radiant and young skin.

I'm going to review the Maya Chia Beauty Super Couple, Eye Achiever, Highlight of the Day in Golden Hour and Limited Edition Body Highlight of the Day Serum - and I'm also giving away the same four products to one lucky beauty! Read my reviews, then enter the giveaway - and yes, it is open internationally
Maya Chia Highlight of the Day Golden Hour / Buy now

I've heard so much about this serum, and it is even more stunning in real life that everything you've seen on Instagram. I have swatched it here on a video for you.
Highly pigmented, the Golden Hour is a warm white-based highlight, with a pearlised finish. 100% natural, the serum contains Supercritical Chia Seed Oil, Broccoli Seed Oil, and Calendula Flower Extract to nourish the skin whilst making you look glowy and lit-from-within.

It is very lightweight and non-oily - something I was concerned about in a serum highlighter with several oils. It absorbs very rapidly, because you need so little, and has a dry finish, without the cakey look a powdered highlighter can give.

It is very pigmented, so you only need a tiny amount. I just put a tiny drop directly onto each cheekbone, patting it out with my fingertips to blend. I then take another tiny drop and apply it to the inner corner of the eye, brow bone, bridge of nose and cupids bow.

The highlight really is the prettiest glow and beautiful for day or night - I've even been wearing it on foundation-free days with a little blush and concealer to give my complexion a gorgeous glow. I absolutely love it!!

Being a serum, you can even mix a drop with your primer or foundation for a subtle, all-over glow - just be careful not to overdo it. For evening or events, you can also apply it to the collarbone, shoulders and decolletage.

Maya Chia Limited Edition Highlight of the Day Body Serum / Buy now

Oh my goodness. I fell in love with this body highlight just as much as I did the face highlight the instant I tried it out. A rich rose gold hue, the Highlight of the Day Body Serum gives the skin a luminous finish that sparkles beautifully in sunlight or evening light.

You can see a video swatch here.
You really can't see on camera how stunning it looks in sunlight - you have to see it for yourself.

This serum is perfect for Summer, holidays and the festive season to give the skin an all-over glow. Like the face serum, it is very lightweight and nourishes, hydrates and feeds the skin.

The body serum has a divine camellia, neroli and sweet orange scent - but it doesn't linger for too long, so won't clash with your perfume or bother you if you get sensitive to smells that linger.

I am in absolute love with this Body Highlight - it looks luminous and radiant in the sunlight and is so fun (but doesn't look like you covered yourself with glitter)!! I was sparkling for days afterwards.
Maya Chia Eye Achiever Serum / Buy now

This eye serum has been amazing with all the craziness of an interstate move.

It contains nutrient-dense ingredients including five macro and micro-algae extracts (astaxanthin, sea fennel, sea lavender, wakame, algae extract), as well as the most nutrient dense plant oils, including supercritical chia seed oil, raspberry, black cumin seed oil, rooibos tea extract, pomegranate, and cranberry.

This serum will revitalize, brighten, and restore firmness and resiliency while intensely moisturizing and protecting the delicate skin around the eyes.

I LOVE the rollerball application. It is smooth and cooling, helping to depuff and refresh my eyes in the morning, and it feels lovely at night. It also makes it super easy to apply the serum - I can then massage it in gently or leave it to absorb.

The Eye Achiever has been brilliant for hydrating the delicate skin around my eyes, firming and reducing the visibility of fine lines. I haven't noticed too much difference in my dark circles (although I know this is a push to find in ANY eye product, even conventional), but it has kept them from getting very dark or tired looking with lack of sleep I've had during this move.

I think even if you had more fine lines or lack of firmness than I do, this serum would be amazing!

Maya Chia Beauty The Super Couple Face Oil / Buy now

There are so many face oils on the market these days, but few stand apart like Maya Chia's The Super Couple.
It contains a multi-correctional high-performance ultra luxe face oil serum combining the world’s most powerful antioxidant, astaxanthin, with nature’s #1 superfood, chia. Astaxanthin is an anti-ageing powerhouse (clinically proven to have 65X the strength of Vitamin C to fight free radicals) to combat dull, tired, ageing skin.
A gorgeous pink/red hue, the Super Couple is a soft, lightweight oil rich in antioxidants. It deeply penetrates the skin, absorbing quickly to leave the complexion soft and glowing.
I've been using this every morning. It is beautiful under makeup or alone. The Super Couple has left my skin feeling firm, plump and refreshed - I've been using it on my neck and decolletage as well as my face, and it has really helped with the evenness of my skin tone and fine lines.
The Super Couple will also help to prevent & reduce the size of wrinkles & improve skin micro-texture as well as lighten age spots & brighten skin tone by inhibiting overproduction & oxidation of melanin, whilst protecting against free radical damage and deeply moisturising.
I haven't even been using a cream at night, and my skin still feels and looks smooth, supple and hydrated!
I read somewhere — Instagram probably — from the Maya Chia founder, "...sometimes you just want your products to do the heavy lifting...". She was talking about relying on one or two good quality skincare items to do the job, rather than needing a multi-step routine.
The Super Couple is one of those products. I don't feel like I need a dozen different steps and when you are spending in the high-end price bracket, I think it's reasonable to expect those products to do the work for you. This oil really is amazing, and if you only want one high quality face oil to cover a multitude of sins, this is one of the good ones!!
Overall & Giveaway

I absolutely LOVE everything I've tried from this line. The results, feel and formulas of all of the products is beautiful from start to finish. There was nothing to fault.
It is one of the best skincare lines out there in my opinion, and if you love highlighters, you really need to try their Highlight of the Day Serums. They are SO good!!

Looking for the perfect gifts for the people I love. Finally I see my uncles and cousins, all gathered together, even the most distan ones. The chatter, the laughter, play all together. Anything is possible during the holidays. Also, going to my mom’s house and having chestnuts with her while watching Hallmark holiday movies (I recently tried roasting chestnuts, and it did not turn out well at all). I just love everything about this season.

It gets a bit nippy where I live and it is so nice to be able to turn on my Christmas lights in the evening, turn on the oven and fill the house with the smell of cookies. 67. I have always loved the sense of unity the holidays bring, and the laid-back, relaxed atmosphere (apart from the frantic shopping) which you can practically feel in the air - as throngs of people walk down cobbled streets, laughing and talking amongst themselves, sit at cafe’s, and frolick in the salty breeze, while taking a dip in the waves of these glorious golden beaches of ours.
Christmas puts the spring back in our step, and the sparkle back in our eyes.
Finally, the year is coming to a close and it’s time to kick back, celebrate the fruits of our labour, and spend precious time with loved ones as we count down the days to a new year - our chance to wipe the slate clean, set new goals, and achieve our wildest, most cherished dreams.
