Lily Lolo Lipstick in Temptation | Review

Lipstick is one of my favourite - probably my number 1 - make-up item. It can change a look so effortlessly, add a pop of colour or brighten your mood. It is also pretty low-fuss, and if you've had time to do nothing else, adding a touch of lipstick can transform your entire look.

Lily Lolo is a British mineral make-up brand, with the entire range being all-natural, free from nano particles, bismuth oxychloride, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances, petrochemicals and parabens.
Lily Lolo is also Cruelty Free International Certified and most products are vegan friendly.

I purchase all Lily Lolo products from Beautiful Because in Australia.

Colour

I'll wear lipstick in pretty much any shade of pink - make it rose-toned and I'm sold.
I chose the shade Temptationwhich is described as a light, rose pink with cool undertones. I feel that fits the shade perfectly.

While of course there will always be some difference between colours in real-life and digital imagery (what with screen resolution differences and all that), I do feel the colour is represented quite accurately in the product shot/swatch, which, when purchasing online, is a godsend.

I love this shade for when I want a light my-lips-but-better colour, and easy, low maintenance colour.
I also feel this shade would be beautiful on fairer skin tones, and also pop against more tanned complexions (with cool undertones).

Consistency & Wear

The thing I love most about natural lipstick (second to the fact that I know I'm not ingesting toxic chemicals), is I've yet to find one that is not incredibly moisturising.

The Lily Lolo Lipstick in Temptation is lusciously creamy, and more nourishing than most lip balms I've tried. It's so lovely on the lips, I'm always reaching for it.

That said, the lipstick does lightly stain the lips, the colour fades evenly, and doesn't bleed or feather.
It also stays put quite nicely, and lasts through several hours of eating and drinking before I need to reapply.

The Lily Lolo Lipstick is quite highly pigmented, so one quick swipe is enough to keep my lips hydrated and add a hint of colour, or I can apply as per usual for the full impact.

Packaging & Ingredients

As with all Lily Lolo products, the lipstick is packaged in a sleek black & white tube, with a matte finish. It doesn't feel at all flimsy (as some are apt to do), and applies beautifully.

You can find the full ingredient list here.

Overall

I'm absolutely adding more shades of the Lily Lolo Lipstick to my collection (I'm eyeing Romantic Rose and Desire).

They are everything I want in a lipstick - creamy, moisturising, long-lasting, evenly fading and it doesn't the colour feather or bleed.
